ALBANY
Spanish FeMC Albany has been active in the Spanish scene since 2017 with her first EP "Sad Volume 1".
To be a little tongue and cheek, Albany's first content ever released was humble in origin, coming in the form of a 2015 remix of the legendary "STILL DRE" by Dr.Dre and Snoop Dogg.
After this initial DYI and emulative approach, Albany continued to pump out content up until the very beginning of her debut EP, marking her entry into an official career.
This period turned out to be formative for her, as her uploads on Youtube grew her style as well as her following.
The most memorable songs from this era are "500 Days Of Sadness", "Gucci Mane", produced by herself, and "K Pasa", made in collaboration with the American production team Working On Dying.
Stylistically, these tracks are products of aesthetic tropes of pop culture, street life, love, fashion and romance, which then get translated into reggaeton, R'N'B and more classic rap.
Versatility is one of the virtues in her catalogue, which also bled into her first official 2019 album: "Alcohol and Sullivans".
2020 would also present one other release, taking the shape of the single "Ella No Sabe". Growing output is accompanied by equal growth in collaborations, like the ones with La Vendicion Label, American producer F1LTHY, Spanish rapper Hoseo Bby and Goa.
Remarkable music, versatile swagger and a knack for effective collaborative work is sure to make her become a prominent figure in multiple genres of Spanish urban music.
