LUCIO101

Lucio101 is one of Germany’s most interesting emerging artists, and is steadily making his name known. Having started his career only recently, with his first hit “Luft” (2019) and his first album “1019” that same year, he has already released considerable material, among which several music videos, published on his label’s YouTube channel: OREZ MEDIA. His latest release is the 2020 single “Kaltes Getrank”, made in collaboration with Nizi19. Lucio’s music is classifiable as club music, and displays the influence of artists such as Tyga and Shoreline Mafia. His beats, are, in fact, heavily influenced by the west coast, featuring the typical sounds of synthesisers and electronic drums. It is the generally high BPM of his beats, however, which makes his sound stand out, and suits it to the animated rhythm of the club. Lucio’s tracks are always varied: his deep, rhythmic flow is subject to continuous repetition and change, and his style and lyrics revisit classic gangsta rap in a club key. The singularity of his sound means his tracks are often produced by talented beat-makers, such as Brasco, Sixcube, Ciaga and Al Majeed, as well as forging collaborations with influential artists, such as Nizi19, 6Nullen, Omar Fatal and Relizzle. Still relatively new on the scene, Lucio101 has already distinguished himself from his European counterparts through his American style, and is now one of the most interesting artists in the new German scene.
