REY TRANQUILO

Netherlands based artist Rey Tranquilo is where the rap scene is headed in the next few years. Known for his versatile sound and many singles, he has been active since 2017, when he released his first single “Zwarte Roos”. From that point on, Rey has been consistently dropping new songs and videos: his first EP “Plukjes Van Mijne Zwarte Roos” (2017), was followed by the singles “Buis”, “Drippy” and “Wie Ben Jij” in 2018, and the EP “More Life for Life” in 2019, along with many more singles and collaborations. Rey’s sound cannot be reduced to a single style; he raps and sings on a great variety of beats, from those with 808s and trap drums to more caraibic or dance styles. Consequently, his unique and varied sound stands out in the European scene as one that cannot be traced to any specific influence, which is especially noteworthy considering he is a young artist. Rey has not collaborated with many artists and tends to be alone in his songs, but the few collaborations he has done were well-crafted and successful, as with his latest release “BOOS”, made in collaboration with Fosa YG, and “Dinomistic Drop” with Yung Noodle. Rey is yet to release his first official album, but once he does, we are sure it will gain great recognition and continue breaking barriers in the industry.
