There's no way of talking about Yung Lean without mentioning his huge impact on the sound and aesthetic of modern rap.

The swedish artist began as an almost meme rapper in the style of Lil B in 2013.

His style was based on 90s nostalgia, incorporating videogames aesthetic and weird pop references as Pokemon cards,Arizona Tea.

Yung Lean created his own wave and sound with his group, "Sad Boys", by experimenting with classic trap beats and lyrics and taking them in a new emotional and chilling dimension.

This style of music is now called Cloud Rap and its the exact definition of Yung Lean's sound: bubbly and synth filled instrumentals,sad lyrics and vivid coloured videos are the essence of his art and before him nothing of this really existed.

Yung Lean gained the attention of the american audience with big features like Bones,Travis Scott and Black Kray and had the opportunity to go outside of  his country on tour many times.

He is probably the most iconic rapper coming from Europe who  created a real legacy by creating a distinctive sound that continues to inspire new people and new artists.
